Dinner with John36 was very stimulating. He is creative, works in a creative environment and is involved in the most fascinating facet of the most fascinating of industries. I was riveted. I could not get enough of his stories. Apart from his height, which didn't quite match mine, he was visually very appealing too. Dinner flashed by. One of my favourite restaurants, my favourite meal (beef tagliata aglio olio), delicious wine. John36 was understatedly elegant and clearly well-bred. Well, I thought so at dinner.
John36 had picked me up for dinner which I was impressed by; the trend is "meet-you-there" these days, it appears. Our homeward bound journey continued on an upbeat note until roughly 500m from my driveway when John36 posed the question: "So, your place or mine?" "Mine", I replied. "I am going to my house, and you're going to yours."
I wonder how John36 is doing?
